Re-inventing oneself is such a wonderful experience; it gives you your own personal power within and adds to your individualism. A lot of people get bored, frustrated and so tired of the same thing, different day attitude. When you feel this way, it’s important to sit back and reflect on what you would like to change about you and how you are going to achieve it.
While it’s great to look good and feel good about yourself, our inside beauty should not be forgotten about either. Vanity is one thing, but I have never yet met a vain person who is loving, caring and unconditional in their attitudes towards other people.
Spiritually, to re-invent oneself, is where you bring back and revive your true essence of who you really are on the inside. It’s to invent again or renew yourself. It’s about how you think about you.
We need to focus on what thoughts we have about ourselves and our own reality, which we alone have created. Who and what we want to be comes from a thought. It is then backed up by an attitude which needs to be positive, otherwise our re-invention may not necessarily be for the best.
How we are treated and trained as a child is what moulds our personalities. It affects our attitudes and responses to certain situations. As we grow into adults we are then in charge of our own attitudes and responses. Our personal responsibility as an adult then lies on our shoulders and not that of our parents and upbringing.
We all need to re-invent ourselves at certain times of our lives; otherwise, life would be one big bore. If we never re-invented our relationships with a partner, then can you imagine just how monotonous it would become? Sometimes, it’s just a simple exercise of bringing in new friends or doing some travelling or having a new interest together. We have many stages in life with our childhood, teenage years, young adult life, children, career, old adult life and it goes on. Could you imagine how life would become if we just stayed the same all of the time? Without re-inventing ourselves with new ideas and habits, we would never grow personally or spiritually.
So, go on take the step of re-inventing yourself and take on the challenge of change.
Kara’s message: – Re-invention will happen with the right intention
